OyaFix is NOT responsible for any data loss that may occur during repair services. You MUST back up your data before dropping off your device.
1. Data Loss Risk
All device repairs carry inherent risk of data loss. This can occur due to:
- Component failure during repair
- Battery disconnection or power loss
- Storage device damage or corruption
- Software reset required for testing
- Firmware updates or reinstallation
- Unforeseen technical complications
2. Your Responsibility
Before dropping off your device, you MUST:
- Back up all important data (photos, contacts, documents, etc.)
- Use cloud services (iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive) or external storage
- Verify your backup is complete and accessible
- Remove or disable device passwords and locks
- Sign out of iCloud/Google accounts if possible
3. OyaFix's Position
OyaFix explicitly disclaims all responsibility for:
- Loss of photos, videos, contacts, or any personal data
- Loss of apps, app data, or saved settings
- Loss of messages, emails, or communication history
- Loss of documents, files, or work-related data
- Any consequential damages arising from data loss
4. Data Privacy Commitment
While we disclaim responsibility for data loss, we commit to:
- Never intentionally access, copy, or share your personal data
- Use reasonable care to preserve data when possible
- Maintain strict confidentiality of any data we encounter
- Train technicians on data privacy best practices
5. Data Recovery Services
OyaFix offers separate data recovery services for an additional fee. However, data recovery is NOT guaranteed and we cannot be held liable if recovery is unsuccessful. Data recovery fees are charged regardless of outcome.
6. Software Services
Some services require data wipe or factory reset:
- Software troubleshooting and virus removal
- Operating system reinstallation
- Firmware updates
- Performance optimization
These services will erase all data. Backup is mandatory before proceeding.
7. Testing Requirements
Technicians may need to power on your device, access settings, or run diagnostic tests. This does not constitute accessing your personal data but is necessary to perform and verify repairs.
8. Acknowledgment Required
By proceeding with OyaFix services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Data Loss Disclaimer. You accept full responsibility for backing up your data and agree that OyaFix bears no liability for data loss.
9. Backup Recommendations
How to back up your device:
- iPhone: Settings → Your Name → iCloud → iCloud Backup → Back Up Now
- Android: Settings → Google → Backup → Back Up Now
- Computer: External hard drive or cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox)
- Important Files: Save to multiple locations (cloud + external drive)
10. No Exceptions
This disclaimer applies to ALL services without exception. Even if we verbally assure you that data should be safe, we cannot guarantee it. The only safe data is backed-up data.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. If your data is important, BACK IT UP before service. Once data is lost, it may be unrecoverable.
